Certified Arborist Level
This certification provides the public and those in government with a means to identify tree care professionals who have demonstrated a thorough knowledge of tree care practices and ethical work practices through participation in a professional testing and education program. This level of certification is also designed to support continuing education in order to improve technical competency and create incentives to continue professional development.

Certified Tree Worker Climber Specialist
This credential provides assurance that the tree worker has the knowledge and experience to safely and correctly perform pruning and other tree care. Certified Tree Workers with a climbing specialty have demonstrated knowledge in major aspects of tree care including pruning, tree removal, and cabling and bracing practices, in addition to climbing, equipment and rigging safety. This professional designation supports continuing education in order to improve technical competence and safety, as well as creating incentives to continue professional development.

Certified Tree Worker Aerial Lift Specialist
This credential provides assurance that the tree worker has the knowledge and experience to safely and correctly perform pruning and other tree care through the use of aerial lift equipment. Certified Arborist Municipal Specialist Level
The Municipal Specialist designation identifies ISA Certified Arborists in good standing who have additional training and experience in managing trees in urban settings. Municipal Specialists may work for cities, towns, counties or states; unincorporated communities or parks; contractors or developers; or act as consultants.

Certified Arborist Utility Specialist
The Utility Specialist designation identifies ISA Certified Arborists in good standing who are experienced in working with trees and associated vegetation near utility lines. Utility specialists may work for utility companies, contractors or consultants.
