The economic and ecological value of trees changes dramatically depending if they are located in a forest or an urban environment. These differences will be approached under the perspectives of tree function and structure and on how different insect guilds and wood decomposing fungi affect these two processes. The talk will stress the important of these interactions if they occur on trees thriving in the forest or an urban environment.
