The Certified Tree Worker exam consists of a 50 question multiple-choice written test and a climbing skills test. The Certified Tree Worker exam costs $115 for ISA and PNW-ISA members and $165 for non-members or members of only one organization. Morning exams begin at either 8:30 or 8 am, and afternoon exams begin at either 12:30 or 1:00 pm. You may not take an exam without pre-registering. Walk-ins are not accepted. Certified Tree Worker exams often run all day, beginning in the morning. Additional exams may be scheduled as needed.
Advance registration for all exams is is required at least twelve business days before the exam date. No walk-ins are permitted. Go to the ISA site to download an ISA Certified Arborist Application Form. Space in exams may be limited, so early registration is encouraged.
