ISA Certified Arborist Exams

The Certified Arborist exam is a written test consisting of 200 multiple-choice questions. The Certified Arborist exam costs US $150 for members of both the ISA and the PNW-ISA and US $250 for non-members or those who hold membership in only one of the organizations.

Morning exams begin at either 8:30 or 9 am, and afternoon exams begin at either 12:30 or 1:00 pm.  You may not take an exam without pre-registering.  Walk-ins are not accepted.  Certified Tree Worker exams often run all day, beginning in the morning. Additional exams may be scheduled as needed.

Advance registration for all exams is is required at least twelve business days before the exam date. No walk-ins are permitted.  You may download an ISA Certified Arborist Application Form using Adobe Reader.  Space in exams may be limited, so early registration is encouraged.
